Hughson General Information |
|
The city of Hughson is located approximately 5 miles from Highway 99,
East of the City of Ceres and North of the City of Turlock. Situated in
the middle of Almond, Walnut and Peach Orchards, it is a small 'make
yourself at home' type of community. Hughson Avenue is what most towns
refer to as Main Street. This is the main business district of Hughson.
The city of Hughson operates under the Council-Manager type
of government. The current list of City Council members can be found
below. The current City Manager is: Robert Wilburn.
Hughson is protected by the Stanislaus County Sheriff's
Department through a contract of services to operate the Hughson Police
Department. Hughson Paramedic Ambulance Company is a full service ALS
(Advanced Life Support) company providing care for the Hughson area as
well as other Stanislaus and San Joaquin County areas. Hughson Fire
Protection District covers Hughson City as well as out lying areas
around the city with Fire, Rescue and EMS services. Be sure to say hello
to any of the members of Hughson's Emergency Services, let them know
that Hughson cares.
